Chris Rossbach

Biography

Chris Rossbach is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at UT Austin, CTO and co-founder of Katana Graph, an alumnus of VMware Research Group and Microsoft Research's Silicon Valley Lab, and a veteran of multiple successful Silicon Valley startups. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from UT Austin and a B.S. from Stanford University.

Chris Rossbach leads the Systems, Concurrent, and Emerging Architectures Resarch Group (SCEA) at UT Austin and directs UT Austin CS's Honors Computer Science and Business Program. His research interests lie broadly in the area of distributed systems, with focus on OS, hypervisor, architectural, and PL support for parallel hardware.
